RESULTS – SOÖRUZ Wake and Country 2011
The new event « SOÖRUZ WAKE N COUNTRY», French stop of the WWA Wake Park Series, took place this week end at the Isle Jourdain’lake with the best international riders. Sunny weather, hot atmosphere and riders who gave us an incredible show! With Marc Shuster, Daniel Grant, Jan Kissman, Steffen Vollert, Leo Labadens… approximately 10 nationalities were represented. A crowd came to the TNG to attend the victories of Steffen Vollert for pro wakeboard, Daniel Grant for pro wakeskate, Murathan Ucar for masters, Raphael Ficarelli for open men, Louis Mistaudy for junior and Vanessa Tomaselli for Open women.
To summarize, a new event extremely well-organised thanks to Philippe SIRECH and the WWA Europe with Danielle Crawford (partner’s stand, SOÖRUZ live webcast, hosting, parties…). From the sunny wake up to the end of the night (thanks to DJ Electric), the organization staff made this event unforgettable. A luxurious bungalow near the departure for all the riders in a wakeboard contest, can you believe that?
Despite of rider’s scepticism, the new contest model has convinced riders and allowed the victories of awesome riders good in air tricks as well as on the obstacles. Everybody thought that Dominik Guhrs was going to win thanks to a huge 1080 but the new model allowed the victory of Steffen Vollert who rides well in all zones and took many risks. And like we say at SOÖRUZ « No Guts, No Glory ». Like the young Daniel Grant who gave us an amazing show.
Many partners made this success possible and we are proud to be a part of it with our SOÖRUZ live webcast and our speakers: Raynald Tanny, Yann Thibault, Nick Lewis and sexy Hayley Edmonds. The competition was broadcasted on Internet in the entire world!
So, on the days awesome rides with the best international wakeboarders and wakeskaters broadcasted on Internet and the night huge parties with good music and strip teaseuses.
One sentence to summarize: hot atmosphere the day and the night!
